TML owns its own workspace, having created the factory from a greenfield site in 1995. The TML factory floor and production areas are therefore laid out with strict attention to environmental principles; ensuring that the carbon footprint of every TML product made is second to none.

TML pays particular attention to reducing its energy and utility costs on an ongoing basis.

Grants from The Carbon Trust have been obtained in order to help further in this area. Energy has been saved from new installations in the compressed air management and usage, also in TML's lighting replacement programme whih wcas completed some two years ago. A recent LED lighting programme has also reduced energy outgoings in that area by a factor of 4.

Ergonomics, health and safety, and environmental issues are all immediately clear to the first-time visitor.
